Healthcare professionals hold a variety of positions within the medical field. Those positions range from medical administrative assistants, to pharmacy technicians, to dental assistants, and more. Each job deals with health care in some way, whether dealing directly with patients or focusing more on the clerical work.

The amount of education needed for each position varies greatly. Some training programs take as little as six months while others take up to four years to complete. For all positions a high school diploma is required.
